43 North Applications are now open! Every year 43North awards $5 MILLION in capital – including a grand prize of $1 MILLION – to truly remarkable startups from around the world. In addition to cash, 43North winners receive incubator space, expert mentorship, and ten years of freedom from state taxes. 43 North Applications are now open for 2017.
Key Timeline:
- Early bird submission deadline ($50 fee): APRIL 12, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.
- Final submission deadline ($100 fee): MAY 24, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.
- Over the summer of 2017 (July and August), they will have their semifinals round, with live video conference pitches.
- During 43North Week in October 2017, up to 20 carefully selected companies will be flown to BUFFALO, NY (all-expenses-paid) to pitch live, in-person. Eight winners will be selected to receive a cut of $5 MILLION in cash prizes, as well as mentorship and incubator space.
TWO KEY POINTS for 43North competitors to understand:
- Winners agree to locate their companies in BUFFALO, NY for a minimum of 12 months, beginning in January 2018.
- 43North takes a 5% equity stake in each of our winning companies, regardless of cash award size.
