As a BIPOC woman, Amber is dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the startup funding landscape and the small business community.

Amber’s journey is marked by a unique blend of industry experiences and an unwavering commitment to professional growth. With a background in Human Services, focusing on Disabilities and Mental Health, and extensive experience in Business Management from 2009 to 2019, she has honed core skills, including project management, critical thinking, creative problem-solving, and client relations. These experiences have shaped her into an industrious self-starter who thrives on continual learning and evolution in the funding industry.

Before joining E.B. Howard Consulting in 2019, Amber spent several years in private consulting, developing a passion for federal grant proposal writing. Her direct experience with funding lines allowed her to cultivate the expertise necessary to craft high-quality and competitive proposals. Since then, Amber has been instrumental in preparing nearly 200 proposals for federal agencies such as the NSF, DoD, DoE, EDA, and NIH, alongside opportunities funded privately. Additionally, she has created over 100 Funding Menus tailored to the unique needs of her clients.

Amber’s role at E.B. Howard Consulting is characterized by her ability to provide intuitive and individualized guidance, leveraging her diversified industry background to support clients effectively. Her certification in agile project management and status as a certified scrum master further enhance her capacity to deliver outstanding results.
