The System for Award Management (SAM) is a required registration for any entity applying for a federal proposal, grant, contract, or loan. To recoup the money a small business has been awarded from the federal government, an active and valid SAM account is a must. Unfortunately, obtaining and maintaining active and valid SAM registration can be tricky and time-consuming. There is a long list of the required information needed to sign up. Once the application has been received, it will be a minimum of three weeks until the account is approved. Any error, discrepancy, or issue will delay this process further. For this reason, it is critical to understand the SAM registration process ahead of time and know what information will be required before registering.
Luckily, instead of going in blind, anyone who visits the E.B. Howard Consulting Knowledge Vault can get an idea of what information will be expected from SAM applicants. Even better, they will have a place to keep all their SAM application information organized. This way, if any clarifications need to be made in the future, applicants will know exactly where all of the pertinent information is. The SAM Organizer enables applicants to compile and organize the information they will need ahead of time to make the process of registering with SAM faster, easier, and less stressful.
Once an applicant has registered for SAM, the Knowledge Vault has other useful resources to help craft compelling Letters of Support, organize other grant portal registrations, collect Letters of Collaboration from consultants, and more. The Knowledge Vault is the place to go for all things proposal prep. The resources there are key for saving time and eliminating frustration for grant applicants.
