Data Security and Certifications

All employees at E.B. Howard Consulting undergoes extensive training and certification, including:

  • National Institutes of Health (NIH) training on information security, privacy, and security awareness.
  • What Works Clearinghouse Group Design Standards Training through the Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences (IES).
  • Our staff is fully certified to protect human subjects, in compliance with the federal Office for Human Research Protections requirements. We are well-versed in working on projects that require Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval.

Additionally, our team completes at least 30 hours of professional development annually to enhance their skills and stay current with industry standards. Our data systems are protected with advanced encryption, and we regularly conduct external audits to ensure compliance with the highest security measures.

I also work across the broader innovation ecosystem, including NSF ART, NSF IUSE, and NSF ATE initiatives that strengthen research translation, workforce development, and STEM pathways.
