New York collegiate students from across the state are preparing to compete in the 11th annual New York Business Plan Competition (NYBPC) Finals. The competition asks students to create a business plan in one of the six focus areas and present their plan to a panel of judges comprised of business and investment professionals from across New York State. The six tracks are Energy & Environment, AgTech & Food, MedTech & Well-Being, Technology & Entertainment, Military & First Responder, and Consumer Products & Services. The regional winners are competing via video pitch and the Final winners of each track are anticipated to be announced May 22nd.

Among the many industry experts who will volunteer as judges, Christine E.B. Howard, founder of E.B. Howard Consulting will be representing Western New York in the Energy and Environment track for the second year in a row. As a strong supporter of the startup industry’s #GiveFirst philosophy, Christine is excited to volunteer among the other judges to help support these young entrepreneurs’ mission to drive future innovation.
