We support NAWBO. NAWBO supports women-owned businesses. Do you?

  • September 21, 2021

One of the most important things we as women business owners can do is to support each other. This means choosing women-owned businesses when we buy services or products and supporting organizations that improve outcomes for women business owners. It is for this reason that E.B. Howard Consulting has been advocating for women-owned businesses since the company’s inception in 2013 and providing sponsorship to NAWBO for nearly as long. In recent years, the barriers facing women in the professional and entrepreneurial space have been highlighted. It seems everyone is saying they support women-business owners, but many are still not backing up that support with action. If you support women-owned businesses, show it! Support NAWBO this fiscal year.

E.B. Howard Consulting is proud to continue to be one of the sponsors for the Buffalo/Niagara Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owner (NAWBO) for the 2022 sponsorship year and is proud to support NAWBO‘s mission of propelling women entrepreneurs into economic, social, and political spheres of power worldwide. To offer your support, please check out the Buffalo Niagara’s Chapter NAWBO’s website. NAWBO supports women, but without support from sponsors, this mission would become impossible. NAWBO builds strategic alliances, coalitions, and affiliations with corporate and affinity partners that help support and propel the growth and prosperity of women-owned businesses. NAWBO serves as the most effective and direct access to a community of successful women entrepreneurs.

Women-owned businesses have historically been at a disadvantage in terms of access to capital, education, networking, and professional development. While programming and legislation are underway to mitigate these barriers, women currently rely on professional networking groups like the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) to connect them with the resources and opportunities they need to grow as entrepreneurs and achieve professional and financial success. The recent pandemic has highlighted and brought to the social and political forefront the inequities and disparities facing all underrepresented founders, including women. The choices we make today will directly influence the future of small businesses and the founders that create them. Supporting NAWBO and other organizations that improve outcomes and influence policy for women founders is one way you can help design an equitable future for all small business owners.
