Black-owned businesses invited to share in $2 million grant from WeWork.

WeWork has just released information on their new $2 million grant program. Starting mid-June, applications will be accepted for Black-owned WeWork member businesses in the U.S.

WeWork was founded 10 years ago, and continues today, remaining rooted in the power of community, diversity, and inclusion. WeWork’s mission is encouraging people to “Do What You Love” and they are using this grant to become more active in the change they want to see by offering this funding to help black-owned businesses in these more challenging times.

WeWork stated in their announcement for this grant program “As we, unfortunately know all too well, the Black community is forced to face inequality across the board – not just socially, but professionally. Whether it’s access to capital, federal funding, or resources for support, Black business owners are too often neglected. Words are not enough and now is the time for action. So as a start, WeWork will direct $2 million in business grants toward Black-owned WeWork member businesses. We will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Black community and are committed to doing better, together
