Christine E.B. Howard recently participated in first-round judging in the 2018 Female Founders in Tech (FinTech) competition. She previously participated as a first-round judge for Quesnay’s InsurTech track. E.B. Howard Consulting is an advocate for supporting women through mentorship, visibility, and funding while encouraging inclusion in the tech industry.
The new FinTech program launched on Nov. 12th, 2018. Once the Round 1: Online is complete, applicants will be evaluated by a group of judges, who are leaders from business, academia, and the VC / incubator community (judging criteria are available in the Official Rules). Following the Online Judging Round, five Round 2 Finalists will be selected to present at the Final Live Pitch event on March 7,
Each Finalist will be expected to deliver a 3-5 minute presentation followed by 5 minutes of Q&A with a panel of judges. The pitch may include a product demo and further company and product details. Building on the details provided in the Online Application Round, the finalists will be asked to elaborate on their growth strategy and the areas where they’ll benefit from partnerships. More details on the pitch materials and judging criteria are available in the Official Rules. The female founder, co-founder, CEO, or C-Suite leader will be required to present at the event.
The final live pitch event will take place on March 7, 2019 at the PayPal Office, 117 Barrow St, New York, NY 10014.
