Thirteen Years Later, What Still Matters Most

Thirteen Years Later, What Still Matters Most

Your TL;DR: Today marks 13 years since EBHC was founded. Anniversaries are an opportunity to celebrate, but they are also a chance to recognize the people whose work has shaped every milestone along the way. This year, my gratitude is for the team that continues to show up, solve hard problems, and carry our mission forward every day.

July 29 marks 13 years since EBHC began. Like most businesses, the story looks much cleaner in hindsight than it ever felt in real time. There have been moments of excitement, moments of uncertainty, and more than a few days where the path forward was anything but obvious.

What has remained consistent is the work, and more importantly, the people doing it.

Every proposal we submit, every evaluation we complete, every client conversation we have, and every challenge we solve is the result of a team that cares deeply about doing things well. That standard was never built by one person. It has been shaped over thousands of decisions, thoughtful conversations, late nights, difficult projects, and a shared belief that our work matters because our clients’ work matters.

I hope each of you takes time to recognize the role you’ve played in building that reputation. The trust our clients place in EBHC is earned one interaction at a time, and that trust exists because of the consistency, professionalism, and integrity each of you brings to your work.

As we look ahead, I don’t measure success only by growth, awards, or revenue. Those are meaningful milestones, but they are outcomes. What matters more is whether we continue building a company where talented people enjoy solving difficult problems together, where curiosity is encouraged, where quality is never negotiable, and where we continue raising the standard for ourselves.

Thirteen years is something to celebrate, but it is also a reminder that there is still more to build.

Thank you for your commitment, your resilience, your creativity, and the care you put into your work every day. You have made EBHC what it is today, and I am genuinely excited about what we’ll accomplish together in the years ahead.

Happy Founding Day, and thank you for being part of this journey.
