  • The REV Campus Challenge administering the Energy to Lead Competition 2017, which will span the 2017-2018 academic year. NYSERDA will award up to $3 million in this round of the Energy to Lead competition, ranging from $250,000 to $1 million per award to the colleges or universities with the leading solutions for implementing replicable clean energy projects that significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions. For the purposes of this competition, clean energy is inclusive of energy efficiency, energy conservation, and renewable energy. Proposals are due by January 29, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
  • Plug-in Electric Vehicle (PEV) Enabling Technology Development and Demonstration Program (PON 3578) 
    Drives the expansion of the plug-in electric vehicle market and accelerates PEV adoption through innovation and demonstrations.  Proposals requested for technology or business strategy research and development, innovative policies, or strategic approaches to develop and demonstrate new technologies to help overcome barriers to the market adoption of PEVs. Proposal approaches should make PEVs more economically viable while reducing their impact on the electric grid and the environment in New York State. The proposals should focus on research, results, or strategies that can become economically viable on their own and be replicated and implemented throughout the State.  Due Date:  02/06/2018  (Round 1); 08/29/2018  (Round 2)
  • Open 2018 is seeking the nation’s boldest, brightest innovators to challenge ARPA-E with their ideas for technologies that could transform the way we generate, store and use energy. Concept Papers due February 12.
  • From competition to commercialization, 76West has the resources your startup needs to succeed. 76West is an unparalleled competition focused on growing entrepreneurs and attracting resources from the U.S. and around the world to build clean energy businesses and jobs in New York State’s Southern Tier region. The competition offers $20 million in prize money and support services, including a $1 million top prize. The 76West Competition application period is open for Round 3. Applications must be received by April 16, 2018, 5:00 p.m. EST.
